APPLICATIONS ENGINEER UK

To design control systems primarily for prime mover applications. Programme plc's, microprocessors and SCADA systems. To produce system and component designs which, through standardisation and innovative designs will ensure customer satisfaction and price competitiveness.

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the job is to provide technical services and expertise to our customers relating to the company's products and systems. This allows our customer assets to have high availability and to operate the companies' products as efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities include:

• Contract customer site technical support

• On-call emergency corrective maintenance and support

• Preventative maintenance visits

• Site application support

• Establish and maintain customer relations

Requirements

• Some years of practical experience in application engineering.

• A sound understanding of industrial engines in marines, locomotive or power generation applications is required. Knowledge of power generation controls and speed governing would be an advantage

• Installation, commissioning and site acceptance experience

• Motivated to learn and improve technical knowledge and capability

• Good communicators verbally and written

• Efficient whilst under pressure to deliver
